The Politecnico di Torino (POLITO) is an Engineering University based in Torino, Italy. Established in 1859, it is the oldest Technical University in Italy. It enrolls approximately 30.000 students studying on 120 courses (28 Bachelor's degree courses; 32 Master of Science courses; 23 Doctorates and 37 specialization courses), with a staff of 900 teachers and researchers.

The POLITO unit is constituted by the Antenna and EMC Lab (LACE). From the administrative point of view, the LACE has been established recently, as one of the winners of an externally-refereed competition of Politecnico to support excellence labs (High Quality Laboratory). From the scientific and professional point of view, it represents more than 30 years of experience in experimental, numerical, and theoretical activities in antennas, EMC and applied electromagnetics. The LACE modelling section has a strong expertise in Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), and it has developed several high performance algorithms for computer-assisted design, antenna optimization and synthesis, electromagnetic virtual prototyping, and diagnostic tools associated to measurement systems.
